Welcome to University Course Reviews! These Community Guidelines help ensure that the Platform remains a safe, respectful, and constructive environment for students to share reviews about university courses.
All users are expected to follow these guidelines when submitting reviews or interacting with the Platform. Violations may result in removal of content, suspension, or termination of accounts.
1. Respectful Communication
- Focus your reviews on courses, units, and the learning experience, not on individuals.
- Do not include personal attacks, harassment, threats, or discriminatory language.
- Maintain a professional and constructive tone.
2. Anonymity and Display Names
- You may choose a display name when signing up.
- Do not use your display name to impersonate someone else.
- Your display name should not include identifying information of lecturers, staff, or other students.
3. Prohibited Content
Do not submit content that includes:
- Names or identifying information of individual university staff
- Profanity, offensive language, or hate speech
- Illegal content or material that infringes intellectual property rights
- Personal information about other students or third parties
All content is subject to automated scanning and moderation to enforce these rules.
4. Review Content Guidelines
- Be honest and accurate about your experience.
- Avoid exaggeration or false claims.
- Focus on information useful to other students considering the course.
- Keep reviews relevant to the course content and teaching quality.
5. Moderation Workflow
- All reviews are subject to review by our moderation team.
- Automated tools scan submissions for prohibited content, profanity, and references to individuals.
- Human moderators will make a final decision within 24 hours of submission.
- We reserve the right to remove, edit, or restrict content that violates these guidelines.
6. Reporting Concerns
- If you see content that you believe violates these guidelines, you can report it via the Platform.
- Reports are reviewed in accordance with the moderation workflow.
- We encourage all users to participate in maintaining a safe and respectful community.
7. Compliance
By using the Platform, you agree to abide by these Community Guidelines.
Violation of these guidelines may result in:
- Removal of offending content
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account
- Legal action if applicable
